What problems should be paid attention to during the bending process of aluminum plate processing
2021-07-28 09:26:58

The aluminum sheet simply cracks after being bent, or it bursts after being bent through anodizing. Many sheet metal processing companies are puzzled by this. How can it not crack?

Many small sheet metal processing factories will cause cracking when bending the aluminum plate, or there is no problem in the bending process. Once anodized, it will burst. The main reasons and precautions for bending and cracking of the aluminum plate are:

1. It is related to the hardness of the aluminum plate.

If the hardness of the aluminum plate is too high, it will easily crack when bent. This requires the selection of high-quality aluminum plates, usually 1 series, 3 series, and 5 series; the hardness of 6 series and 7 series is too high, and it must be annealed to the O state before bending.

2. It is related to the thickness of the aluminum plate.

Everyone knows that the thicker the thing, the harder it is to bend. Similarly, the thicker the aluminum plate is, the harder it is to bend, so when bending, try to use a thinner aluminum plate.

3. The size of the bending R angle of the aluminum plate.

The larger the bending R angle of the aluminum plate, the higher the success rate, so try to increase the bending R angle as much as possible.

4. The grain direction of the aluminum plate.

The bending direction of the aluminum plate should be straight and not parallel to the grain direction of the aluminum plate.

5. For aluminum plate parts that require drawing, it is best to be bent and then stretched when the process permits, otherwise the probability of bending and cracking will be increased.

If the above points are dealt with well, the bending problem of aluminum plate will be well solved.
